Our friends over at Jalopnik are currently at Jaguar F-Type media event over in Seattle, where they had a chance to catch up with its design Wayne Burgess (check out our full interview with him here), who revealed some interesting sources of inspiration for some of its detailing. The first is a real easter egg - a detail that once you've discovered it you can't help but see - the front lamp cans are based on Star Wars' TIE Fighter. What has been seen can not be unseen.

This is the production version of the Lexus NX compact crossover, which will sit below the Lexus RX in the Japanese brand’s line-up as it chases the BMW X3. Based on the Toyota RAV4, the NX features the Lexus spindle-grille up front but has lost the jagged styling that repulsed many when the concept car was shown at the 2013 Frankfurt show. The showroom edition has been toned down significantly, but still keeps the same stance and two-piece LED headlamps that ape the IS saloon’s face.
This leaked photo seems to be a new Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake
It seems Ian Callum was right all along about an XFR Sportbrake – it now looks like Jaguar are about to go one step further than an XFR Estate with a Full Monty Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake. When Jaguar revealed the XF Sportbrake two years ago they said there would be no four-wheel-drive variants and no XFR Sportbrake either (even though Ian Callum said in 2011 there would be an XFR Sportbrake), so for the last two yeare we’ve had just diesel engine options for the XF Sportbrake. But not for much longer it would seem.
